Subcontracts Specialist required to join a subsea services business delivering offshore energy projects for a contract of approximately 6 months, focused on managing a portfolio of subcontracts from planning and tendering through to negotiation, award and ongoing performance management. The role involves working closely with internal stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies, run tender processes and ensure contracts are implemented in line with operational and project requirements. Office-based Monday to Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of subcontracts, covering planning, sourcing, tendering and contract administration.
- Developing and implementing subcontracting and sourcing strategies.
- Preparing RFQ and ITT documentation in collaboration with technical stakeholders.
- Leading commercial and contractual evaluations, consolidating and presenting outcomes.
- Conducting contract negotiations and support contract award and execution.
- Monitoring supplier performance and establish appropriate performance metrics.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Tracking market conditions and identify trends relevant to subcontracting activity.
- Supporting the development of subcontract and procurement plans.
- Ensuring timelines for tendering and contract execution are met.
About You:
- Proven experience in a subcontracting, contracts or procurement role within subsea or oil and gas.
- Experience managing tender processes, including RFQs and ITTs.
- Strong understanding of contract negotiation and subcontract administration.
- Experience supporting supplier performance management and evaluation activities.
- Knowledge of subcontracting within a project or vessel environment.
- Familiarity with standard contract forms and contracting principles.
- Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
