The OpportunityReporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead the Site Services function, taking ownership of utilities, facilities, plant equipment and statutory compliance while supporting operational continuity in a food manufacturing environment.

This is a varied and hands-on leadership role, working closely with Operations, Production and Engineering teams, as well as managing external contractors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage the Site Services team, providing technical guidance, support and development
  • Ensure full compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, including: LOLER, PSSR, Legionella control
  • Oversee maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of site services and utilities
  • Manage contractor and supplier performance, ensuring safe systems of work
  • Take responsibility for facilities and building management across the site
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety compliance
  • Manage site services budgets and control costs effectively

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven people management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of legal, statutory and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience working with: Hot water boilers, Refrigeration systems, Ammonia plant, Air compressors
  • Previous experience within food manufacturing or a similar regulated environment is highly beneficial
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
