Are you a confident, compassionate graduate or aspiring educator looking to build a *long-term career* in education within a genuinely supportive school environment?

A warm, welcoming and highly collaborative secondary school in West London is seeking a Behaviour Specialist to join its pastoral team. This is far more than a temporary role – it is a long-term opportunity with a proven route into a permanent position for someone who wants to grow, develop and truly belong within a school community.

The school is known for its inclusive ethos, strong leadership, and exceptional staff wellbeing culture. Staff are valued, supported and encouraged to work together, making it an inspiring place to learn and work. You will be joining a close-knit pastoral and inclusion team that believes in *relationships first* and *high expectations with care*.

Working across Key Stages 3 and 4, you’ll support students at pivotal moments – helping them reflect, reset and re-engage with learning in a calm, respectful and restorative way.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting students in the supervised learning room to maintain positive learning behaviours
  • Assisting with behaviour investigations and follow-ups alongside senior leaders
  • Leading restorative conversations and supporting successful reintegration plans
  • Monitoring corridors and classrooms to promote a calm, purposeful environment
  • Organising and supervising after-school detentions
  • Building trusted relationships with a caseload of students, supporting behaviour, wellbeing and personal growth

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:

  • Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English (degree level desirable)
  • Experienced in working with children or young people (school, youth or community settings)
  • Calm, empathetic and confident when supporting behaviour
  • An excellent communicator with strong organisational skills
  • Passionate about safeguarding, inclusion and equal opportunities

Why Join This School?

  • A genuine pathway to a permanent role within a supportive school
  • Warm, welcoming and values-led environment where staff work collaboratively
  • High-quality training, mentoring and professional development
  • A school that prioritises staff wellbeing and mutual respect
  • Dynamic pastoral and inclusion teams that share ideas and support one another
  • The chance to make a *lasting difference* to students’ lives and futures

Whether you’re considering a future in teaching, pastoral leadership, youth work or educational psychology, this role offers an outstanding foundation within a school that invests in its people.
