FULL DESCRIPTION

This role is responsible for converting qualified prospects into clients. The Sales Representative leads strategy calls with business owners, develops a clear understanding of their financial and tax situation, and presents tailored solutions that align with their goals. This role partners closely with the Sales Administrator, who supports pipeline management, scheduling, and follow-up. Success in this role means consistently converting qualified prospects into clients through structured, professional strategy conversations that clearly demonstrate value. Deals are actively managed and move forward without unnecessary delays, clients feel confident in their decision to engage, and there is a strong, seamless transition from sales to onboarding.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead strategy calls with prospective clients to understand their business, goals, and tax situation
  • Identify opportunities to provide value through tax planning and advisory services
  • Present clear, tailored recommendations based on client needs
  • Confidently guide prospects through the decision-making process and close new business

Pipeline & Deal Management

  • Manage active opportunities from strategy call through close
  • Maintain accurate deal status and notes in CRM tool
  • Collaborate with the Sales Administrator to ensure timely follow-up and scheduling
  • Keep deals moving forward and address objections or delays proactively

Client Experience

  • Build trust quickly with business owners through clear, professional communication
  • Set expectations around services, timelines, and next steps
  • Ensure a smooth transition from signed client to onboarding

Collaboration & Feedback

  • Partner with marketing and admin to improve lead quality and conversion rates
  • Provide feedback on common objections, client needs, and messaging
  • Contribute to refining the sales process over time

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in a consultative or service-based environment
  • Experience working with business owners or B2B clients preferred
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to lead conversations, ask the right questions, and guide decisions
  • Comfortable discussing financial concepts (tax or accounting experience is a plus, not required)
  • Self-starter with strong ownership and follow-through
