Due to continued growth [Employer hidden] are currently recruiting on behalf of a Global client based in Coalville for an CNC Setter/Operator.

As a CNC Setter/Operator you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC lathes.  Experience with milling machines would be advantageous as milling duties will be incorporated into the role over time however using CNC lathes will be the primary focus.

Responsibilities

The CNC Setter/Operator will play an integral role within the Machine Engineering team, manufacturing precision components to specification while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. The role involves working with a variety of CNC machines and control systems, problem-solving machining challenges, and contributing to continuous improvement within the machining function.

Person specification/Qualification

  • Ability to work independently on complex components while also contributing effectively within a team environment
  • Must be able to manufacture components using 3-axis machining techniques
  • Ideal candidates will have experience in either, Fanuc, Proto Trak or Siemens control panels
  • Programming experience would be highly advantageous but not essential
  • Must have a strong problem-solving capability and proactive mindset
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills supporting collaborative working
  • High level of organisation, time management, and reliability
