Health & Safety Coordinator (Temp)

Please note this role is office-based in Orpington | Full-time, 9am to 5pm (5 days per week)

Are you a detail-driven Health & Safety (H&S) professional looking to play a key role in a fast-paced, operational environment? We’re looking for a proactive Health & Safety Coordinator for a 3 months FTC to support the smooth running of H&S processes across our business, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence at all times.

This is a hands-on, office-based role where you’ll be at the heart of day-to-day Health & Safety coordination, working closely with internal teams including Facilities and People.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of email Inboxes - Contractor Reports / Trucks
  • Be responsible for reporting any RIDDOR incidents to the HSE and oversee all aspects of any investigations.
  • Ensure the ongoing delivery and replacement programme of all internal Boom / Forklift trucks takes place smoothly.
  • Manage the day to day Intelocate requests for all internal H&S matters.
  • Manage the day to day Intelocate requests for all internal truck matters.
  • Manage the issuing of the H&S checks on our internal system, ensuring responses are received and reviewed.
  • Fully investigate all accidents reported through Intelocate
  • Ensure any first aid courses requested are booked in.
  • Mitigate any moving of trucks across the UK if required.
  • Produce any certificates required following confirmation of training on the trucks.
  • Sign off Invoices for works both planned and reactive that are assigned to Paul.
  • Raise PO's for works required, ensure they are matched up and passed for payment upon arrival.
  • Work with our People team on any ad hoc risk assessments for colleagues as required.
  • Work with the Facilities team on ad hoc works through Intelcoate / raising orders.

 

Key Skills & Experience

  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Health and Safety knowledge
  • Experience in retail (preferable)
  • Solid attention to detail
