FULL DESCRIPTION

Healthcare Assistant – Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

Location: Hampden Hall Care Centre, Tamarisk Way, Weston Turville, Aylesbury, HP22 5ZB

Hourly rate: £12.71 to £12.81 per hour, plus night and weekend enhancements

Hours: Up to 39 hours per week

Shifts: Day and night shifts available across Monday to Sunday

Job type: Permanent

About the role:

  • Support our residents with their daily activities, whether this be assisting a resident to wash and dress in the morning, developing their individual care plan or helping them choose their favourite meal
  • Be a friend who our residents can rely on to champion their dignity and independence
  • Support them to live happy and healthy lives
  • Communicate effectively, take on responsibility, prioritise your work load and keep accurate records
  • Help with other activities such as serving food and helping residents to eat and drink
  • Work in a team, be kind and build strong relationships with our residents, their relatives and team members

About you:

  • The right to live and work in the UK
  • A caring nature, positive attitude and the ability to work in a team
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Previous experience of working with the elderly is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided
