Overview

*Please note that this will be on an 18 month fixed term contract.*

The Internal Auditor will be responsible for the examination and assessment of the design and operation of internal controls, by performing all aspects of the audit lifecycle, from planning, developing the audit scope, completing audit testing and work papers, and preparing audit reports. Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience of internal audit best practice as defined by the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CIIA).

About the Role

  • Responsible for leading and delivering end to end internal audits and investigations across all areas of the business.
  • Evaluate the design adequacy and operating effectiveness of the Groups internal controls across all entities and business processes.
  • Providing management, including our Audit Committee, with high quality internal audit reports.
  • Following up on agreed management’s actions.
  • Keep up to date with CIIA standards and industry best practice.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with clients.

About You

  • A recognised internal audit (IIA, CIA) qualification.
  • At least 5 years’ experience within an internal audit role.
  • Excellent communication skills and report writing skills, with the ability to quickly build good relationships at all levels and help grow a positive audit culture across the Group.
  • Genuine curiosity and mental agility to be able to quickly get under the skin of the business, ask the right questions and spot potential risks or opportunities.
  • Ideally experience of Internal Audit controls within relevant industries, e.g. FMCG, manufacturing, retail, logistics or distribution.
  • Working knowledge of data analytics or Power BI
