About The Role
Main Purpose of RoleReporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the role holder will be responsible for developing, leading, and implementing strategic growth initiatives for the Data Centre sector. They will establish a team, and lead them in generating sustained growth by driving new business opportunities, deepening strategic partnerships, and strengthening existing customer relationships to ensure retention.
The successful candidate will possess a high degree of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders across a technically complex and rapidly evolving sector.
Key Accountabilities
Growth
- Develop and implement regional and sector‑specific business development strategies for the Data Centre sector.
- Deliver individual, team, and divisional growth targets.
- Lead the team in identifying, qualifying, and pursuing new Data Centre projects and hyperscale/colocation opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, emerging technologies, regional demand, competitor activity, and capacity growth across the Data Centre landscape.
- Develop clear and effective value propositions, working closely with our Marketing Team to differentiate our technical and operational offering.
People
- Lead and mentor the team, providing direction, coaching, and development to support the achievement of stretching targets.
- Be a role model for positive leadership, professionalism, and respect for our colleagues.

- Build and maintain strong, forward‑looking relationships with key Data Centre customers, industry partners, hyperscalers, colocation operators, and critical‑infrastructure stakeholders.

- Collaborate with key stakeholders across our Island of Ireland and Great Britain business areas to develop best practice for Data Centre operational excellence and identify areas of enhancement to meet evolving customer requirements and new opportunities.

- Understand, shape, and lead on new opportunities, developing the best technical, commercial, and operational solution to maximise revenue.
- Develop and implement a culture that seeks innovation and added value in all areas, producing compelling bids, proposals, and delivery models tailored to Data Centre environments.

Person Specification
- Full Clean Driving License
- Demonstrable track record in senior business development, commercial, or strategic roles within the Data Centre sector, critical environments, or mission-critical infrastructure.
- Developing and implementing growth strategies.
- Leading teams to identify and secure large-scale opportunities.
- Strong understanding of Data Centre lifecycle, design, build, operations, and regulatory framework.
- Proven ability to develop pipelines, manage bid schedules, and oversee complex tender submissions.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong organisation and project-planning capabilities.
- Operating at a strategic level, building high-value customer relationships, and leading value-based selling.
- Ability to remove barriers, drive innovation, and lead teams in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.

Location
This is a hybrid role offering flexibility to work remotely combined with regular office attendance to support team engagement and collaboration.
Given the global remit of the role, regular travel throughout Great Britain and the Island of Ireland is required.
