FULL DESCRIPTION
Executive Assistant to the Bishop of Horsham
The Bishop of Horsham is seeking a highly organized, professional and personable colleague to provide executive-level administrative support. The role involves managing the Bishop's schedule, handling correspondence, and coordinating with diocesan colleagues and parish clergy.
About the role:
- Manage all aspects of the Bishop of Horsham’s schedule and diary.
- Deal confidently and efficiently with all correspondence and enquiries.
- Coordinate closely with diocesan colleagues and parish clergy and lay officers.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of senior-level EA/PA support, including complex diary management.
- Excellent organisational skills, time management and attention to detail.
- Highly developed communication skills, both spoken and in writing.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels, including with senior colleagues and stakeholders.
- Facility in using MS Office and managing electronic records.
- Complete discretion in handling confidential information, and ability to be courteous, diplomatic and discreet at all times.
- Sympathy with the aims and ethos of the Church of England, and some understanding of its systems, structures and terminology.

What we offer:
- A starting salary of £18,875.40 per annum (pro rata of £31,459), for 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE), worked over 4 or 5 days.
- The role is based at Bishop’s House in Horsham, in a large, purpose-built office with off-street parking.
- Enrolment into the non-contributory Church Administrators pension scheme.
- 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays and additional discretionary office closure days.
