You’ll improve your communication skills when speaking and listening in this unit. You’ll practice presenting and narrating, learning. Learn how to structure talks and engage your audience. Develop techniques for presenting persuasive arguments, including how to support their points with evidence and respond to opposing views.

Step 1 - Initial Assessment
We’ll assess your English level with a short online test. One of our English tutors will explain your results over the phone. We’ll then create an English course to fit your current skill level and show you how to use our online learning.
Step 2 - Online Course & English Tutor Support
You’ll start your online learning with the support of our friendly, helpful English tutors. You’ll be able access and progress with your learning 24/7 on desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile phone. Subject specific tests will help you track your progress.
Step 3 - Take your Functional Skills English tests
When you’ve progressed well with your learning, you’ll sit an diagnostic and a mock Level 1 English test to see if you’re ready for the final test. If you pass the mock test we’ll book your Functional Skills English Level 1 test.

Are there any exams?
Yes. There is one exam for this course which will need to be sat at an approved exam centre or remotely with invigilation using video chat software such as Zoom, Skype or WhatsApp. Your exam fees are not included in the price of the course.
