This flexible 12-week programme equips you with practical data skills for nearly every business sector through blended learning.

      Unit 3: Data cleansing

      Understand common data quality issues and learn to apply cleansing measures. You will test and assess the confidence and integrity of the data and apply cross-checking methods to identify any errors or faults.

      Unit 4: Blending and merging data

      Learn to filter, blend and integrate data from various sources and formats while maintaining accuracy. You will explore the relevance of blended data and present it in a clear and appropriate format.

      Unit 5: Statistical analysis

      Understand and apply data modelling, statistical methods and algorithms to normalise data, identify trends and patterns and support business outcomes.

      Unit 6: Data visualisation

      Understand and use data management and visualisation tools to present data effectively for review and analysis, communicating results to meet both technical and non-technical audience requirements.

      Unit 7: Presentation and communication of data

      Learn to present and communicate data findings clearly using different techniques and tools, providing summaries through consistent reports and technical documentation tailored to your audience.

      Unit 8: Collaboration and Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

      Understand digital transformation and how to engage with stakeholders. You will learn to assess your own development needs to stay current with the latest technologies and trends in data analysis.

      To join this course, you generally need to:

      • Live in West Yorkshire (Leeds, Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, or Wakefield).
      • Be aged 19 or over
      • Have the right to work and study in the UK
      • Not already holding a full Level 3 qualification. Exception: If you have a Level 3 but are unemployed OR earning below £25,750, you are still eligible.
      • Commit to liaising Think Emplyment for up to three months after course completion to confirm your progression.
