Project Management Office Lead (LED)
Energy Efficient Solutions Group (EESG) was born out of extensive experience in the lighting industry, actively promoting the energy-saving benefits of LED lighting through our organisation, Energy Saving Lighting. From this background, the Group has evolved to further support our clients in their drive towards decarbonisation and Net Zero, providing a wide range of solutions, including LED Lighting, Solar PV, Heating solutions, Electric Vehicle Charging, and Air Purification.
As our LED Lighting services continue to grow and develop, we are seeking a PMO Lead to provide structure, governance, control and consistency across all LED projects. This is not a delivery management role. Instead, it centres on ensuring that all LED projects follow a clear and defined delivery framework, with accurate reporting, controlled documentation, strong planning discipline and effective governance.
You will work closely with Senior Operational Leadership, Project Managers, Installation Management, Warehouse and Logistics, and Clients to ensure that project information is accurate, risks are visible, and decisions are well informed. This role suits someone with strong project governance experience, excellent organisational discipline and the ability to challenge, standardise and drive process improvement across a growing delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Project Governance and Standards*
- Maintain and update LED delivery processes, templates and project standards.
- Ensure all Project Managers follow the agreed LED delivery framework.
- Own document control for all required documentation within project delivery, including commercial and financial records.
- Carry out periodic compliance checks on project folders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the creation of standardised documents and operational templates to reduce variation across project delivery teams.
- Ensure financial documentation such as pricing workbooks, variation logs and approval records are complete, accurate and aligned with requirements.
- The PMO Lead does not take ownership of project delivery activities, but ensures delivery is governed, controlled and reported in line with agreed standards.
*Reporting and Performance Management*
- Lead the monthly LED reporting cycle, to include backlog, highlight and compliance reporting.
- Produce consolidated dashboards covering programme status, risk and delivery progress, including visibility of commercial exposure and cost related risks.
- Provide Senior Leadership with clear visibility of issues, delays and emerging risks.
- Maintain reliable project data to support forecasting, resource planning and commercial oversight.
- Identify gaps or inconsistencies in financial documentation and highlight these to Project Managers and Senior Leadership.
*Planning and Programme Control*
- Work with the planners and coordinators to build and maintain accurate project programmes.
- Maintain the master LED delivery schedule for all live projects.
- Challenge unrealistic durations, dependencies or assumptions within project schedules.
- Maintain project risk and issue registers with clear ownership and actions.
- Escalate risks promptly where commercial, programme or delivery thresholds are affected.
- Support Project Managers by ensuring correct storage, version control of project information.
Experience & Competency:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a PMO, project support or governance role.
- Strong understanding of project controls, risk management and documentation standards.
- Confident producing structured reports, dashboards and performance updates.
- Experience supporting project teams within construction, electrical or technical environments.
- High attention to detail with a methodical and process-driven approach
- Ability to challenge constructively and maintain high data quality standards.
- Strong organisational skills and capability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Performance Expectations:
This role is heavily oriented towards governance, quality of information and delivery assurance.

- Contribute to continuous improvement and help strengthen the maturity of LED delivery operations.
