FULL DESCRIPTION
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is looking for an Offshore Construction QA/QC Lead, to assist our client's operations onshore UK. Valid UK authorisation is required for this role.
Background/Scope of Services:
Certifications:
- CSWIP 3.1, BGAS, FROSIO, NACE or equivalent
- Other relevant qualifications e.g. NDT, H&S, ISO QMS auditor, etc.
- GWO Certificates
- Professional standard level of written and spoken English.
Experience:
- Experience working to DNV/NORSOK and applicable standards for Offshore Wind construction Works.
- Ability to work to high degree of autonomy, within a team, effectively, efficiently and with a proactive approach.
- Proven extensive experience as offshore construction Quality personnel and at supervisory level with good understanding of the entire offshore windfarm construction Works.
- Ability to act as offshore Client Rep. on the offshore windfarm structures – OSS & jackets, foundations, turbines & towers etc.
Scope of Services:
- Responsible for the overall quality of the activities and deliverables by the Project team and Contractors during the offshore construction Works through to commissioning and handovers of the Projects Assets.
- Work closely with the Offshore construction team, Quality Managers and Leads on all offshore packages, and Contractors as appropriate and continuously monitor the offshore construction Works performed by the Contractors and ensure compliance with the Project Requirements under the Conditions of the Contracts.
- Ensure a controlled process of the transfer of custody of assets between Contractors during offshore construction - As Found/AS Left, and at the eventual asset handover and acceptance by the Employer.
- Perform targeted surveillance at the various fabrication sites as necessary for the different packages – foundations, OSS & jackets, turbines & towers etc., identify any quality risks and implement mitigation measures in advance of the offshore installation Works.
- Undertake review of quality documentation prior to commencement of offshore construction activities – ITPs, Quality Plans, installation procedures, repair procedures etc. and ensure compliance by the Contractors with the approved Project documentation.
- Provide support to the offshore construction team and the different package team on offshore construction related technical deviations, site queries and change requests as required.
- Report any offshore construction related queries and NC to the Contractor for immediate actions and notify the relevant Project team as well as the PQM for the appropriate follow-up actions.
- Prepare weekly site reporting on all offshore construction related matters as required.
Working week: 5 days/week - 10 hours
