To support the growth of their high-performance team, we’re seeking an LC-MS Proteomics Scientist to join their operations in Glasgow.

To support the growth of their high-performance team, we’re seeking an LC-MS Proteomics Scientist to join their operations in Glasgow.

In this position, you will play a key operational role in ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the proteomics laboratory. You will maintain instrument performance, perform Proteomics methods, and help drive efficiency through automation and optimisation.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Execute and support proteomics experiments focused on biomarker discovery and validation
  • Develop and optimise LC-MS/MS workflows using advanced techniques (DIA / PRM)
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Thermo Orbitrap Mass Spectrometry systems
  • Integrate automation and liquid handling to improve throughput
  • Collaborate closely with scientists, chemists and data teams to support project delivery
  • Contribute to technical documentation, reporting and scientific outputs

Key Requirements:

  • BSc, MSc or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience using LC-MS/MS in Proteomics
  • Hands-on expertise with Thermo Orbitrap / Tribrid systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and maintenance experience for MS instrumentation
  • Experience running complete proteomic workflows from sample preparation through data acquisition
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
