FULL DESCRIPTION
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is looking for a Project Engineer to work on the EV battery modules. The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager and lead projects related to flex solutions for EV battery modules, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing project plans, and troubleshooting technical issues, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering projects for EV battery modules, focusing on flex solutions and cell contacting systems for voltage and temperature control.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, conducting risk assessments and feasibility studies.
- Oversee the design, development, and testing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues during project implementation and industrialisation.
- Document project progress and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate sample build and prebuild phases, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Manage process flow creation, PFMEA, and support quality control for PPAP documentation.
- Validate equipment specifications, monitor project performance, and ensure successful delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in automotive engineering, with a strong understanding of industry standards.
- Proficiency in CAD software, Gantt charts, and reading engineering drawings.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, resource allocation, and supplier management.
