FULL DESCRIPTION
As a Trainee Appraiser, you will be responsible for evaluating customers' items daily, working alongside specialists and your team leader to make well-informed decisions. You will develop expertise across a diverse range of vintage and antique items while striving to meet and exceed key performance targets. This is a role where continuous learning is essential—each day brings new and unique items, making every appraisal a valuable learning opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and accurately value a variety of vintage and antique items.
- Work closely with specialists to refine appraisal techniques and knowledge.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy to meet quality control standards.
- Ensure efficient processing of customer boxes in line with department KPIs.
- Support the continuous improvement of appraisal processes and customer satisfaction.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for learning about vintage and antique items.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A methodical and analytical approach to decision-making.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Previous experience in valuation, appraisals, or a related field is beneficial but not required—full training is provided.
