Commercial Assistant
We are looking for a Commercial Assistant to join our team, providing essential reporting, data analysis and administrative support across a variety of business areas. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced finance function, where you will contribute to business performance reporting, financial processes, and operational improvements. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, working across multiple departments while developing your data analysis, reporting, and commercial finance skills.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Business Analysis:
- Compile, validate, and distribute monthly KPI reports and weekly performance updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and internal audits to ensure accuracy and process compliance.
- Support business investigations and analysis projects, providing accurate data insights.
Administrative & Finance Support:
- Provide administrative support for key finance processes, including stock take coordination and data management.
- Assist the Commercial Analyst with the scheduling process for mobile fitters, ensuring smooth operations.
- Work collaboratively with the Finance Team to support ongoing projects and process improvements.
Sales Support & Pricing (Supporting Role):
- Assist in the customer pricing process, ensuring all updates are accurately recorded and communicated.
- Support the team in maintaining pricing data, but this will not be a core function of the role.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong numeracy & analytical skills – comfortable working with financial data and reports.
- Attention to detail – ability to produce accurate reports and validate business information.
- IT proficiency – confident with Excel (intermediate level or above, with a willingness to develop skills further).
- Organised & adaptable – able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Education & Experience - a Degree or strong Maths & English A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications).
- Previous experience in an office or finance environment is advantageous but not essential.
