Job Title: Document & Information Manager - Energy Industry

Location: Nottingham/hybrid

Salary/Rate: £450/550 per day inside IR35 depending on experience

Start Date: 20/04/2026

Job Type: Contract - 12 months

Company Introduction

We are seeking a Document and Information Manager for the development and execution phases of Energy Asset Projects. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, implementing, developing and improving the project document management system and processes, where appropriate utilising a team of document controllers where appropriate.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

  •      Support the administration and optimisation of the company-wide document management system (DMS), including handling of relevant engineering applications (e.g. CAD & CAE).
  •      Develop, implement and maintain project management templates and DMS processes.
  •      Conduct DMS training for project teams, comprising both Uniper and external staff.
  •      Be responsible for the creation and implementation of, and compliance with, document management processes on a project-specific basis.
  •      Organise the distribution of authorisations for the DMS in projects (access, folder releases, etc.).
  •      Ensure that documentation delivery requirements for each project phase are agreed, understood, and completed, especially those required by the end customer.
  •      Coordinate and monitor document controllers.
  •      Check as-built supplier documentation for conformity with the contractually agreed conditions (metadata, completeness, compliance with deadlines, etc.).
  •      Draft DMS requirements for inclusion in tender specifications.

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  •      Academic qualification in a technical/ economic subject and / or demonstrable qualification by experience.
  •      Several years of professional experience in the field of document management during on the execution of major infrastructure projects.
  •      Relevant experience in the use of commercially available document management systems.
  •      Ability to successfully work in teams, including technical specialists, contractors and suppliers and management.
  •      Demonstrable track record of credible relationships with multiple project stakeholders.
  •      Experience and understanding of project management skills, processes and activities.
  •      Strong and willing communicator, who is convincing and assertive.
  •      Application of learning for continuous improvement, both within and between projects.
  •      Diversity Management: embraces challenge and opportunities to enhance outcomes by evaluating situations from different perspectives, leverages cultural differences.
  •      Fluent in English.

Desirable Skills/Experience

Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

  •      Experience working with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Vault and/or different other Autodesk CAD/Engineering applications.
  •      Familiarity with project management standards (e.g. APM, PMI, PRINCE2, etc.).
  •      Energy industry experience.
