Location: Farringdon, London (Part time, 3 days onsite: Tues-Thurs)
Salary/Rate: £150 - 200 per day inside IR35
Start Date: April
Job Type: Until Dec 2026 (potential extension or permanent conversion)

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join their team in Farringdon on a part time basis.

About the Team

You?ll join a collaborative and inclusive support team, with members across the UK and France, forming part of a wider global infrastructure organisation of 300 professionals. The team culture is friendly, supportive, and highly focused on delivering excellent user experience.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

This is a hands-on 1st Line Desktop Support role with a strong deskside focus (80% onsite support, 20% remote). You?ll support around 150 users across a multi-floor office, ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations while proactively improving device performance.

  • Provide in-person and remote technical support for laptops, operating systems, software, printers, and mobile devices
  • Troubleshoot issues across Windows (90%) and Mac (10%) environments
  • Build, configure, and repair laptops and end-user devices
  • Proactively monitor device performance, identify issues, and implement fixes before user impact
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Use automation to reduce repetitive tasks
  • Leverage AI tools to triage tickets, summarise logs, and maintain knowledge articles
  • Deliver excellent user support, training, and communication

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience in desktop / IT support
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • o Windows and Mac OS
  • o Microsoft Office 365
  • o Active Directory fundamentals
  • o Mobile Device Management (Intune/Azure)
  • o Hardware/software troubleshooting
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Understanding of ITIL practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent verbal communication skills
