FULL DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Backend Engineer (AWS Serverless / Node.js)

Location: United Kingdom (Remote Working)

Day Rate: £400 - £425 (Inside IR35)

Start Date: April

Job Type: 6 Month Contract

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

- Building serverless, event-driven integrations on AWS to ingest and process data

- Developing backend services and APIs to power application features and core logic

- Automating infrastructure using CloudFormation and delivering via CI/CD pipelines

- Improving and maintaining security across the data platform (ODS)

- Supporting and mentoring developers within the engineering ecosystem

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Strong experience with AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway)
  • Solid Node.js backend development experience
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices
  • Experience working with data platforms or large-scale data processing
  • Good understanding of cloud security best practices
