PR and communications consultant

On 27 January 2023, the St Mark’s Hamilton Terrace building was comprehensively destroyed by fire, leaving a curtain wall and the tower as a monumental ruin.

The church is working with the Diocesan Teams in the process of commissioning a new building which will creatively integrate and adapt the remaining historic fabric. The commission will deliver a new place of worship, fit for the future, with supporting facilities and the design embracing the Church of England’s Net Zero ambition.

The [Employer hidden], which operates through the London Diocesan Fund (LDF), is seeking a PR and communications consultant who will work collaboratively with the PCC, clergy, project team, [Employer hidden], and professional advisers to:

  • Develop, secure approval for, and deliver a comprehensive communications and public relations strategy
  • Provide communications support for the planning and listed building process
  • Manage community, political, media, and reputational risk
  • Build understanding, confidence, and goodwill among stakeholders
  • Ensure communications align with Church of England values, governance, and safeguarding expectations
