Job Introduction
Futures Matters works in partnership with families and partner agencies to affect change and achieve positive outcomes by working with some of the most vulnerable children and families living in Staffordshire. This is a fabulous opportunity to work within a passionate, creative, supportive, and highly motivated team who make a real difference, whilst also being part of developing and shaping the service.
In Futures Matters we support children who are on the edge of care to remain living at home, and we support young people to return home following a period being cared for by us. The underpinning methodology is solution focussed drawing upon relationship and strength-based models of intervention targeted to meet the specific needs of the family.
As a Senior Practitioner you’ll offer management support and supervision to the Futures Matters Intensive Family Support Workers. You’ll screen and triage referrals into the service offering high challenge/high support.
The Intensive Family Support Workers are responsible for working with young people (8-18 years of age) and their parents to develop a tailored package of support, drawing upon other resources within the team as appropriate.
Futures Matters have a range of specialist skills (e.g. NVR, CBT, Solution Focussed and more) including Exploitation Coordinators and a Young Persons Substance Misuse Worker. This means we can engage the right support and external services, in a tailored way, to suit the needs of each young person and their family.
This is a 12 month fixed term position.
