An opportunity has arisen within the Adult Social Care Business Support Team to provide administrative and co-ordination support to the work and continued development of the Social Work Learning Academy for [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk].
Job Introduction
[Employer hidden] and Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) have a Workforce Strategy for the Adult Social Care Workforce which operates across both organisations. An opportunity has arisen within the Adult Social Care Business Support Team to provide administrative and co-ordination support to the work and continued development of the Social Work Learning Academy for [Employer hidden].
The Social Work Learning Academy (SWLA) provides and supports all levels of social work and social care staff and more recently the Adult Social Care Core Support and Improvement Team, providing a dedicated centre of excellence. Anyone joining the organisation is automatically enrolled into the Social Work Learning Academy. There are currently around 900 active members. The SWLA encourages staff to take responsibility for their own Continuous Professional Development allowing them to develop and flourish.
Main Responsibility
The role will be part of the Adult Social Care Core Support and Improvement Business support team, who are responsible for providing business support to adult social care operational teams and strategic management across adult social care. The role will report directly to the Business Manager, Adult Social Care and Safeguarding and will have the responsibility of line managing a Workforce Administrator.
As a Workforce Co-Ordinator you will be required to;
- Be a key member of the Adult Social Care Workforce Project team working on a daily basis with colleagues across [Employer hidden] and MPFT, receiving direction and support from the Social Work Learning Academy Business Manager and the Business Manager Adult Social Care and Safeguarding providing a proactive approach to supporting the workforce strategy in [Employer hidden], inclusive of supporting and promoting the work of the SWLA.
- Provide administrative support for project meetings, including maintaining a list of actions and ensuring actions are updated and escalated for completion if required.
- Act as the first point of contact for [Employer hidden] workforce enquiries, liaising with Operations managers and team leaders to respond to and signpost queries.
- Draft communications to promote training and development opportunities.
- Create & help to support and maintain the delivery of the Workforce Strategy working closely with the Principal Social Worker and Safeguarding Lead for [Employer hidden].
- Using your knowledge of existing SCC systems and your digital skills (Sharepoint, Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Teams) to develop and implement appropriate support systems and processes which can work in partnership with the SWLA’s existing systems and processes.
*The role will have a Stafford Base, and whilst there will be requirements to travel across Staffordshire for meetings, it is anticipated that part of the role can be completed through the use of virtual/hybrid working.*
