Senior Manager, Accounting

Job Title: Senior Manager, Accounting Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office) Type: Full-time, Permanent

Overview A growing global business is looking for a Senior Manager, Accounting to take ownership of financial reporting for a key business unit. This role focuses on delivering accurate financial results, leading the close process, and ensuring audit readiness. You will work closely with operational and finance teams to translate complex revenue streams into clear financial reporting, while also strengthening processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Collaborate with systems and finance teams to improve reporting and invoicing workflows
  • Work closely with FP&A to support analysis and reporting integrity
  • Investigate discrepancies and implement long-term solutions
  • Act as key contact for external auditors
  • Manage and mentor junior team members
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and controls

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and revenue recognition
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

  • Experience in a fast-paced or digital-led business
  • Prior team management or mentoring experience
  • ERP system exposure (particularly NetSuite)
