Join us as an EC&I Maintenance Technician at our Energy Recovery Facility in Huddersfield, where we convert residual waste into renewable power and help build a cleaner future.
About the role
You'll help keep our advanced control systems running safely and efficiently:
- Deliver planned and reactive EC&I maintenance across the plant to maximise reliability and performance.
- Provide specialist expertise on key equipment including Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEMs) and the Distributed Control System (DCS).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs and instrumentation issues quickly and effectively.
- Offer guidance, supervision and development support to junior technicians and the wider team.
- Participate in a 1-in-5 on-call rota for essential out-of-hours cover (fully compensated).

What are the requirements?
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experience levels — your practical skills and safety mindset matter most:
- Completed relevant engineering apprenticeship and qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
- Solid experience in PLCs, instrumentation troubleshooting, and DCS systems.
- C&G 2377 PAT Testing qualification.
- Health & Safety qualification (IOSH or similar; training support available if needed).
