Site Operative - HWRC

About The Role

Location: Based at our [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Campground site.

- Salary £12.97 per hour.

- This is a full time, permanent position working 4on 4off shift pattern.

- Working hours are 07:00 - 16:30.

About the role

Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve:

  • Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
  • Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
  • Maintaining a tidy site within your areas of responsibility.
  • Ensuring [Employer hidden] complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
  • Co-operating with [Employer hidden] and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and [Employer hidden] Policies and Procedures.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What are the requirements?

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required, and also to operate a roll on/off shunter vehicle to exchange and empty containers on site.

What you will need is:

  • A good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
  • Ideally prior experience operating a roll on/off vehicle is desirable but full training will be given.
  • A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
