What will I be doing?
As Contract Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of our refuse and recycling services.
Reporting to the Assistant Contract Manager and working closely with our wider management team, you’ll help deliver a high‑quality service to our communities. Some weekend working may be required.
You’ll support the daily operation of our waste and recycling collections, monitoring crews, completing on‑site inspections, and contributing to a positive, safety‑focused working culture. You’ll also oversee fleet compliance and champion high standards across health, safety, and sustainability.
Your role will include managing essential day‑to‑day tasks such as timesheets, staffing levels, workforce briefings, disciplinary processes, and accident reporting or investigations. With your people‑centred approach and commitment to continuous improvement, you’ll help us deliver a service that is reliable, resilient, and aligned with our environmental goals.
Whether you’re progressing your career in logistics, transport operations, environmental services, or looking for a new challenge that offers real responsibility and impact, this role provides an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills in a supportive and purpose‑driven environment.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and career stages, including those building experience in operational supervision or sustainability‑focused services.
What are the requirements?
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
Sound decision‑making skills and a commitment to good operational practice.
Supervisory or team‑leader experience (this is essential), ideally within logistics, waste, recycling, transport, or another operational environment.
Confidence managing teams, with the ability to guide, support, and communicate clearly.
Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, and an understanding of fleet compliance or busy logistics operations (desirable but not essential).
A full UK driving licence; an HGV licence is desirable but not required.
