Site Operative – Devon

As a Site Operative, you’ll play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient running of the recycling centre, helping members of the public, maintaining site standards, and contributing to environmental sustainability.

About the Role
Location: Crowndale Recycling Centre, Tavistock, Devon
Salary: £12.31 per hour (plus a range of benefits)
Working Hours:
Winter: 35.5 hours per week
Summer: 40 hours per week
(Final hours to be confirmed at interview)
Working Pattern & Progression
This role operates on a 4‑day working week, from Friday through to Monday, offering a great balance between work and personal time.
Development Opportunities: You’ll have the chance to train in mobile plant operations and/or resale activities, supporting your career growth and expanding your skill set.
About the role
What you’ll do:
Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing and keeping the site tidy.
Key responsibilities will include:

- Maintain accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.

- A team player but able to work independently.
