Registered Nurse (RMN) : Nelson

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RMN) to join our team at Stocks Hall Andrew Smith House, Nelson. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and will demonstrate extensive knowledge of anatomy and medication administration. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of patients while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. Experience in caring for residents with Dementia is desired.

Responsibilities

- Deliver exceptional patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Monitor patients’ conditions, documenting changes and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care activities in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and promote a positive healthcare environment.
- Stay informed about advancements in nursing practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Requirements

- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology related to patient care.
- Proven experience in medication administration within a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding at all times.
