Planning Officer NIHE

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are recruiting a Planning Officer to join the NI Housing Executive regeneration team based in the Foyle area. This role supports housing-led regeneration, land use planning, and the delivery of new social and mixed-tenure housing across Northern Ireland. Working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with a pay rate of £16.90-£18.85 p/h

Key responsibilities include:

Assessing land assets and supporting planning applications.
Helping identify and develop housing schemes in areas of need.
Carrying out site and feasibility studies, particularly in high-demand or rural areas.
Providing planning advice and producing Housing Investment Plans.
Working closely with local councils and stakeholders to shape sustainable communities.

What We Need From You

Essential criteria for this role:

Hold an accredited planning qualification by a professionally recognised organisation
An ability to demonstrate one year relevant experience of working in a planning environment
