Senior Support Worker – Chester

Location: Chester

Salary: £28,957.50 per annum (Plus on-call/Overtime)

Hours: Full-time, Permanent (role requires flexibility with shift work, including on-call duties, and includes dedicated time for office-based administration and rotation that includes every other weekend.

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will assist the Service Manager in delivering outstanding care and support to individuals who enjoy active and independent lifestyles.

You will play a vital role in supporting people with daily routines and encouraging independence

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership & Support – Deputise for the Service Manager in their absence and support in leading and developing the staff team to deliver high-quality care
  • Service Delivery – Manage rotas and staffing to ensure safe, effective and person-centred support at all times
  • On-call Duties – Provide on-call support across the service as required, responding to incidents and offering guidance to staff
  • Person-Centred Care – Build strong, professional relationships with individuals and deliver support in line with person-centred care plans
  • Direct Support – Support individuals with daily living tasks, including personal care, while promoting independence and choice

What we’re looking for

  • A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Health and Social Care is desirable. Support will be provided to gain this qualification if required
  • Previous Experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, Senior Healthcare Assistant or Deputy Manager is preferred
  • Confidence in leading shifts and supporting team development
  • Flexible and reliable, with the ability to respond to the needs of the service
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support
