FULL DESCRIPTION
Brand new opportunity for an Accountant to join a large, multi-site firm of Chartered Accountants, at their office based in York. This firm offers a variety of services to their clients, ensuring they provide a well-rounded approach. From Audit and Accounts through to Corporate Finance, this firm are dedicated to providing excellent service.
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and clients to resolve issues, facilitate collaboration and address any issues
- Ensure all Accounts and VAT returns are filed on time
- Achieve reporting deadlines for clients
- Review Accounts & VAT returns
- Answer non-complex VAT queries
- Bookkeeping and accounts preparation as required
- Training junior colleagues in accounts and VAT return preparation
To qualify for this Accountant role, ideally you will meet the following:
- Qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification, such as AAT, ACA, or ACCA.
- Comfortable contacting clients and 3rd parties to ensure efficient workflow.
- Experience in preparation of year end accounts and VAT returns.
- Experience using Xero, Sage, Quickbooks and Freeagent would be advantageous.
