Claims Handler – Personal Injury

Salary – Up to £35,000 (Depending on experience)
Location – Hybrid working in West Yorkshire

[Employer hidden] Group are working with a well established UK law firm, with a strong reputation in defendant personal injury work, to find a Claims Handler to join their Defendant Personal Injury team.

This is a pre-litigation role focused on defending EL/PL claims, offering hands-on fee-earning experience within a structured, process-driven environment based in their West Yorkshire offices – There is an expectation to be in the office at least 3 days per week. 

Your main duties in this position will include: 

  • Conducting defence of EL/PL claims for Personal Injury
  • Dealing with experts, statutory bodies and clients by e-mail, telephone and in writing.
  • Negotiating on issues of liability and quantum.
  • Pursuing recovery of client’s losses, where appropriate, from third parties Maintain accurate financial / reserve / risk management information on all claims Comply with internal, client and procedural protocols.
  • Develop a good relationship with existing and potential clients ensuring that a high standard of client care is exercised at all times.

The ideal person for this role will have prior experience handling EL/PL claims for Personal Injury and liaised with experts, clients, and statutory bodies previously. They are open to other defendant claims experience as training will be provided.
