Role Overview

A leading national commercial law firm is seeking a talented Employment Solicitor (as a guide 2–6 PQE) to join its well-regarded Employment team in Leeds.   This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and commercially focused practice offering high-quality work, genuine client exposure and long-term career development.
You will join a busy and supportive Employment team advising on a broad spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The role offers significant client responsibility, working with a diverse client base that includes owner-managed businesses, HR professionals, in-house legal teams, public and private sector organisations, and senior executives. This opportunity would suit a technically strong employment lawyer who enjoys a varied caseload and is confident delivering commercially pragmatic advice.

Candidate Profile / Experience Needed

Applications are welcomed from qualified solicitors (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ post-qualification experience and demonstrable experience across a full range of employment law matters, including:

  • Employment Tribunal litigation, including whistleblowing and discrimination claims
  • Drafting employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements
  • Advising on employee relations issues, disciplinary matters and grievances
  • Dismissals, redundancies and restructuring exercises
  • Corporate support work, including TUPE
  • Workplace investigations
You will be comfortable managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision and delivering clear, commercially focused advice.
