FULL DESCRIPTION

A Lloyd’s Managing Agency is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join its growing Compliance function. This is a key role supporting the delivery of a robust compliance and assurance framework across a Lloyd’s syndicate platform. Reporting into senior Compliance leadership, you will play a central role in underwriting governance, conduct risk, financial crime assurance and regulatory reporting, within a highly regulated Lloyd’s environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the ongoing development and operation of the Compliance Framework and Annual Compliance Plan
  • Lead the delivery of the Underwriting Governance Assurance Plan
  • Support conduct risk and financial crime assurance activity
  • Act as the first point of contact for underwriting governance queries
  • Produce Compliance MI and reporting for senior management and committees
  • Support Product Oversight, Deal Review and Regulatory Reporting forums
  • Assist with complaints oversight, Lloyd’s attestations and regulatory reporting
  • Maintain key compliance logs (breaches, regulatory correspondence, horizon scanning)
  • Support SMCR, Fit & Proper processes and Compliance training activity
  • Ensure policies and procedures remain current and aligned with regulatory expectations

About You

You will bring strong Compliance or Assurance experience from within the London insurance market, ideally within a Lloyd’s Managing Agency or syndicate environment.

Essential experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit or External Audit within Insurance
  • Good knowledge of Lloyd’s, FCA and PRA regulatory frameworks
  • Experience covering underwriting governance & conduct risk
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills
