A national, sector-focused law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join its established Corporate and Commercial Disputes team. This position offers exposure to a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including high-value and complex disputes. The successful candidate will advise on contract disputes, procurement challenges, construction disputes, partnership issues, governance matters, complaints, and internal investigations.
Role Overview
A national, sector-focused law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join its established Corporate and Commercial Disputes team. This position offers exposure to a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including high-value and complex disputes. The successful candidate will advise on contract disputes, procurement challenges, construction disputes, partnership issues, governance matters, complaints, and internal investigations.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
As a guide applicants should have a minimum of 3–5 years’ PQE in commercial dispute resolution.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- A strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
- Experience of alternative dispute resolution processes
- Practical involvement in key pre-trial stages, including pre-action work, merits assessment, instructing counsel, disclosure, witness statements, expert liaison, and trial preparation
- The ability to interpret complex contractual arrangements and clearly communicate risks and solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time-management ability
- Commercial awareness and understanding of diverse client needs
- Confidence working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
Experience advising clients in the health, social care, or charity sectors, and/or exposure to partnership disputes, would be advantageous but is not essential.
