Payroll Business Analyst

Job Description:

Our renowned client is currently looking to recruit a Payroll Business Analyst on an initial 6 month contract, working on a hybrid basis from the central London based office.

Payroll Business Analyst Central London – Hybrid £450 per day inside IR35

We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a strategic Services Simplification Programme focused on improving core corporate services. The initial phase centres on Finance, particularly Payroll (including overpayments and payment tracking), before moving into HR.

This is a delivery-focused contract role within a complex transformation environment, requiring strong stakeholder engagement and political awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of a transformation programme delivering service improvement
• Analyse and document current (“as-is”) services and processes
• Lead process mapping, requirements elicitation and validation
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews
• Support solution design and definition of “to-be” processes
• Work closely with technical and delivery teams to ensure changes improve services

Essential experience

• Proven Business Analyst experience within transformation programmes
• Experience with Finance, Payroll or HR change
• Strong political awareness and excellent stakeholder management skills
• Hands-on experience with process mapping, workshops and requirements management
• Experience delivering IT-enabled service improvement
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

• Experience in large, complex organisations
• Familiarity with Oracle (not essential)
