Our client is currently looking to recruit a Senior Asset Surveyor on an initial 3 month interim basis.

Senior Asset Surveyor – Housing (HRA) £500 per day inside IR35 Wiltshire – hybrid We are looking for an experienced and driven professional to take on a key role within the Housing Asset Management team, helping to ensure the homes are safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standards.

As a Senior Asset Surveyor, you will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and enforcing property- and asset-related regulatory standards across the housing stock. This includes undertaking stock condition surveys, identifying hazards, assessing component lifecycle requirements, and ensuring compliance with statutory housing standards the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).

Providing technical leadership across one of four geographic areas, you will work closely with Area Surveyors, Repairs Surveyors, and wider asset management colleagues to maintain and enhance the condition of the housing portfolio. You will take the lead on key project work relating to stock condition, regulatory compliance, and asset improvement programmes.

Your work will directly contribute to ensuring the housing stock remains safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver stock condition surveys and ensure accurate asset data management
  • Identify, assess, and manage housing risks in line with HHSRS and other regulatory frameworks
  • Oversee lifecycle planning of housing components to inform investment decisions
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory standards
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to surveyors within your area
  • Manage and deliver projects relating to asset improvement and compliance
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive service excellence

You will bring substantial experience in housing asset management, property surveying, or compliance, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practice. You are confident in leading technical work, managing projects, and supporting colleagues to deliver high-quality outcomes.
