Job Description:

Electrician – Commercial/Hospitality Maintenance (London-Based)

Location: London + Travel | £42,000 - £47,000 p/a DOE + Overtime | Van/Fuel Provided | PAYE | Start: Mid-October

We're looking for a reliable, fully qualified Electrician to join our growing team in a mobile role, focused on electrical maintenance for restaurants across London — with occasional travel to Kent, Portsmouth, and other areas across the UK.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Electrical maintenance & testing in hospitality settings (mostly commercial sites)
  • Client-facing work – must be professional, personable, and presentable
  • Reactive and scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Occasional call-outs and emergency response work

Hours & Flexibility:

  • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
  • Call-out rota: Every second week (Mon–Fri) + 1 weekend/month (Weekend work is rare, but flexibility is essential due to restaurant hours)
  • Overtime: Available and paid at 1.5x rate for hours outside 9–5 and weekends

What You’ll Need:

  • Full UK driving licence – van provided
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
  • Your own standard electrical tools/kit

About You:

  • Qualified Electrician by trade
  • Comfortable working independently in the field
  • Commercial maintenance experience preferred
  • Confident communicator and great with clients
  • Flexible and reliable – not rigid on 9–5
  • Proactive, positive, and willing to go the extra mile

Salary & Benefits:

  • £42,000 - £47,000 DOE (PAYE)
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x
  • Van provided
  • Pension, sick pay, holiday allowance

Interview Process:

  • 1–2 stages
  • Decision expected by early October

Important: We’ve trialled several candidates and the biggest dealbreaker has been flexibility. If you're strictly looking for 9–5 hours, this role may not be the right fit. However, if you're adaptable, experienced, and thrive in a varied environment — we’d love to hear from you.
