  • Salary: £12.71 per hour
  • Work Days & Hours: 22 hours worked between Monday and Saturday.
  • Working Location: Windermere
  • Team: Housekeeping

About the Role:

We’re looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Laundry Operative to join our [Employer hidden] Windermere/ Ambleside team. You’ll be key to keeping our laundry and housekeeping running like clockwork, making sure every property is guest-ready. You’ll work closely with our cleaners, resolving laundry and housekeeping issues over the phone and face-to-face.

You’ll need to multitask, stay organised, and collaborate effectively to help maintain our high standards. This is a flexible role suitable for both full-time and part-time applicants.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage day-to-day laundry operations and liaise with suppliers
  • Count and check freshly laundered linen; record shortfalls or rejects
  • Deliver clean linen using fleet vehicles when required
  • Conduct property inspections, corrective cleaning, and special requests
  • Prepare linen for weekly departures and maintain stock levels
  • Manage soiled linen, keeping the area tidy before collection by suppliers
  • Provide practical feedback to support departmental performance
  • Promote excellent customer service to guests and owners
  • Undertake any additional duties within the scope of the role as requested

Bonus points ifyou have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment, previous experience as a Laundry Assistant, and are IT literate with the ability to update stock controls.
