Quality Control Technician A&A

We are currently looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our friendly team at our Ballidon Lab in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for product sampling and testing, equipment calibration, logging results, and communicating non-conformance.

We are currently looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our friendly team at our Ballidon Lab in Ashbourne, Derbyshire.   Here at [Employer hidden], we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and in the the role of Quality Control Technician it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.

Role Responsibility

As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for the following:

  • To comply with Company safety policies and promote a high standard of safety awareness
  • Carry out product sampling and testing in line with procedures and British Standards
  • Carry out equipment calibration in line with procedures and British Standards
  • Logging the results and communicate non-conformance, with a view to ensuring corrective action is taken
  • Maintaining awareness of site practices and quality procedures and act where these may adversely affect product quality
  • Assisting Senior Technician with complaint investigations

The Ideal Candidate

The Quality Control Technician will be able to demonstrate:

Qualifications

  • Technical NVQ – level 2 is desirable

Experience

  • Working knowledge of test procedures and material specifications
  • Working knowledge of Company systems, plant control systems and procedures - training will be be given to support this

Skills

  • Good understanding of company Health & Safety policy & procedure and reporting requirements
  • Possession of a current full clean driving licence
  • Team working
  • IT literate to use technical and production systems
