General Operative

We are currently looking for a General Operative to join our friendly team based at our [Employer hidden] The Gore Quarry, Presteigne. This is commutable from Ludlow, Leominster, Hereford and the surrounding areas.

If you have a good work ethic and want to progress, [Employer hidden] will provide you with Training & Development gaining Tickets & Qualifications.

Role Responsibility

The successful candidate in this role will specifically focus on operational tasks including:

• Operation of plant and machinery (training to be provided)
• Cleaning of spillages
• Learning of [Employer hidden] systems
• Day to day maintenance, general house keeping
• Maintenance and driving a culture of zero harm and behavioural safety
• Compliance and awareness Health and Safety measures around the site

The Ideal Candidate

As part of an operational team, you as a General Operativewill be able to demonstrate proven experience of working within a similar environment. You will also; in the role of General Operative:

• Have knowledge of heavy industry and ideally of aggregates; although product knowledge is not essential
• Be flexible and self-motivated to succeed
• Able to work as part of an effective team and motivate others
• Have knowledge of Risk Assessments
• Be compliant and engage with company policies, targets, goals and standards
• IT literate

If you have experience as a General Operative from a similar industry we will support you with training.
