We are currently looking for a Site Manager to join our friendly team based at [Employer hidden]’s brand new site in Washwood Heath in Birmingham. This is a really exciting project in Birmingham and you would benefit from being a local resident.

Role Responsibility
You will be responsible for opening and developing a new Asphalt site in Birmingham for [Employer hidden]. Working alongside our Operations Manager, you will open the plant and contribute to the development of the plant’s strategy for growth. This will involve continually embedding a positive safety culture across the site and delivering budgeted margin, volume, quality and cost performance. You will be responsible for recruiting and developing a highly skilled, fit for purpose and highly motivated team to ensure business continuity and reduce business risk. You will also lead change and continuous improvement initiatives, whilst maintaining disciplined stock management processes and producing operational reports.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have the ability to effectively recruit, develop and motivate your team with previous people management experience. You will also need health and safety experience, ideally in an industrial environment, although experience from other industries will be considered. You will also need budget management skills and proven experience of delivering performance to target. Change management and continuous improvement skills would also be beneficial. Knowledge of the asphalt industry would also be highly advantageous.
