Training Manager

The Training Manager will lead the Professional Operator Development Apprenticeship Programme, ensuring compliance with the Education Inspection Framework and ESFA funding rules. Responsibilities include policy review, quality improvement, stakeholder engagement, and adherence to DBS legislation. We are recruiting an experienced Training Manager to join our team based at [Employer hidden] National Skills and Safety Park in Nether Langwith in the Bassetlaw district of Nottinghamshire. This key role will lead our Professional Operator Development Apprenticeship Programme to ensure [Employer hidden] delivers training to the Education Inspection Framework and complies with the ESFA funding rules.

This is a hybrid working role based out of our [Employer hidden] it is easily accessible from Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Retford, Doncaster and surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Senior Manager (Operational Competence), the role of Training Manager will be responsible for leading the Professional Operator Development Apprenticeship Programme within [Employer hidden] whilst ensuring the effective delivery of apprenticeship standards.

The role of Training Manager will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring policies and procedures are followed and regularly reviewed
  • Owning the quality improvement plan and actively participating in self assessment reviews
  • Assisting Human Resources team in identifying eligible employees for the Programme
  • Co-ordinating and planning delivery by building strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels both internally to ensure commitment to Programme
  • Engagement with external organisations to promote industry apprenticeship standards to highlight the importance of effective delivery
  • Encouraging operational teams to ensure consistency of behaviour, skill and knowledge is developed from learners on the programme across all product lines
  • Managing the adherence to DBS legislation requirements
  • Ensuring all staff involved in the delivery of apprenticeship training have the required technical skill and completed DBS check
  • Developing and implementing the quality assurance arrangements to ensure effective delivery

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for the role of Training Manager will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check and ideally possess experience managing funded apprenticeship provision. However, if you have more general experience working within the education sector then we are happy to consider your application.

Suitable candidates for the role of Training Manager will also possess:

  • Ability to influence and successfully persuade stakeholders
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Resilience and flexibility to adapt to change
  • Ability to achieve goals against strict deadlines
  • Process management experience
  • PTLLS or equivalent
  • Level 3 Safeguarding adults
