Job summary

As a Regional Clinical Development Nurse at Barchester, you'll lead, support and continuously improve the clinical governance and quality of care for residents in four of their care homes across Dorset, Isle of Wight and Yeovil. You'll be expected to support the performance of each home, reviewing the clinical governance database and KPIs, and implementing strategies to ensure the highest clinical standards and continual improvement of care delivery.

Main duties of the job

The Regional Clinical Development Nurse will be responsible for reviewing the clinical governance database and KPIs of each home every month, analyzing the results and identifying practical strategies to make sure all regulations are met and ensure the care delivered is continuously improved. They will work closely with the Regional Director, improvement specialists and senior clinical staff in each home to support the continual improvement of standards and help implement key actions to address any issues which arise.

ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Regional Clinical Development Nurse at Barchester, you'll lead, support and continuously improve the clinical governance and quality of care for residents in four of our care homes; one in each of the following locations: Dorset, Isle of Wight and Yeovil.

Whether you're organising new training, helping attract key senior clinical staff, or delivering clinical investigations, your leadership skills and passion for delivering the best will make a real difference to the residents in our care.Due to the regional nature of this role a willingness for regular travel is essential.

You must also provide evidence of continued professional development and have a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements. Your leadership skills, sharp analytical mind and the ability to share knowledge, build relationships, and deliver on your action plans enables you to deliver impressive results.

To be considered for this role, you must be a Registered Nurse (RN General) with a current NMC registration and provide evidence of continued professional development. You should have a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements and experience working in a care home environment, as well as being a confident clinical mentor, including with newly-qualified nurses.
