[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking an IT Manager with experience of managing a small business IT environment to oversee our technical infrastructure on premise and in the cloud. This is an onsite role based at our offices in Bracknell. There may be an occasional need for travel.

[Employer hidden] is seeking an IT Manager with experience of managing a small business IT environment to oversee our technical infrastructure on premise and in the cloud. This is an onsite role based at our offices in Bracknell. There may be an occasional need for travel.

Reporting to our Finance and Operations team and working closely with our Technical Director you will:

  • Oversee all employee related IT responsibilities such as account creation and employee lifecycle management.
  • Be the custodian of IT security enforcement and access management.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain company laptops, company and client servers (on prem and cloud), and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and office AV and AV conference facilities and telecommunication systems.
  • Ordering of all IT related equipment, including laptops, company mobiles peripheries and ergonomic kit as required and maintenance of inventory equipment (serial numbers and kit allocation)
  • Perform audits and tests on systems, networks, and hardware to ensure functionality, compliance and security is maximised.
  • Respond to internal support requests and troubleshoot software and hardware problems that arise.
  • Ensure all software and hardware is up to date, licensed and install updates as required and to maintain standards and compliance e.g. security patches and Antivirus protection.
  • Undertake routine maintenance to avoid systems outages and failures.
  • Maintain computer networks, systems and hardware documentation and IT guidance for colleague’s reference.
  • Manage Active Directory Set up and creation of new starter access and deliver basic IT orientation training.
  • Administering data and network security, including firewalls, antivirus, group policy and email security.
  • SharePoint administration and configuration.
  • Conducting risk assessment and assisting with the technical arrangements for external events and shows
  • Continuous IT improvement leveraging best practice and new technologies as they emerge to improve efficiency.
  • Building access control management, staff pass management and auditing.
  • Customer server builds.
  • Database administration; MySQL, MSSQL, Influx.
  • VPN management

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience / certification in relevant IT Systems Management/Networking would be preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience of maintaining computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems.
  • Demonstrable experience of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, Exchange and Exchange 365.
  • Experience troubleshooting systems and managing support queries through to resolution.
  • Proven experience in IT administration, with proficiency in Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
  • Demonstrable experience of Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online and SharePoint Online.
  • Experience with AD/Entra systems, including user management and group policies.
  • Firewall management (Cisco ASA and Firepower)
  • Compute management & administration (VMWare ESX, Proxmox & K3)
  • Familiarity with network administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IGMP, and VLANs.
  • Database administration; MySQL, MSSQL, Influx.
  • VPN management (user and site to site)
  • Prior experience with backup solutions disaster recovery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Essentials standards highly desirable.
