CAD Support Engineer
Offering £35,000 – £40,000 Basic Salary plus Great Benefits!
Our client is currently recruiting for a CAD Support Engineer to join their state-of-the-art production facility near Leeds. Due to continued growth and expansion, our client is now seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Support Engineer to join their dynamic design and engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where innovation, precision, and performance are at the heart of our client’s business.
CAD Support Engineer – Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks ideal).
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to develop accurate design solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with automotive standards.
- Revise and update technical drawings based on feedback and design changes.
- Maintain drawing records, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Support prototype and product development projects.
CAD Support Engineer – Skills & Experience
- Experienced CAD Designer with experience gained in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks ideal).
- Understanding of engineering principles, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Previous experience working in or with the automotive industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The CAD Support Engineer position is offering £35,000 – £40,000 basic salary plus great benefits for the successful candidate. This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm onsite at our client’s production site near Leeds.
