Our client is an established property investment business based in West Yorkshire. They are actively recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join their rapidly growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the Business Development Framework as agreed with the board. This is a senior position, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
The successful candidate will aim to source and introduce residential property deals to the board, taking overall responsibility for sourcing and securing direct to developer / off plan deals to take to market as a master agent, highlighting any strategies that should form part of our client’s future plans. The Business Development Manager will be expected to have a strong grasp of what is happening within the property industry and the activities of key competitors.
Business Development Manager – Objective
• Deliver a solution led service to our client’s customers.
• Business development focussing on Solicitors, Planning Consultants, Architects, Construction companies and Funders to make them aware of the services that our client provides.
• Carry out research to highlight proposed and accepted planning applications identifying opportunities that meet our client’s business strategy framework.
• Prepare and negotiate terms for any successful instruction ensuring clarity of the proposal and services to be undertaken.
• Present to the board any opportunities won and ensuring full sign off is obtained.
• Continuously research the activities of our client’s competitors ensuring that our client’s offering is and remains market leading.
• Provide training to the sales team to ensure a thorough understanding of schemes and our client’s offerings.
Business Development Manager – Skills & Experience
• Proven sales track record gained within an off plan, property investment lead environment.
• Be confident liaising with developers, architects and funders on an advanced / technical level.
• Have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Be a self starter, capable of working on your own initiative and building your own network of contacts.
• Have excellent attention to detail and strong time management.
The Business Development Manager position is offering a highly competitive basic salary plus bonus and benefits for the successful candidate. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely with the occasional need to attend our client’s office in West Yorkshire, as and when needed.
