CLOSED | Health and Safety Advisor

Our client is an established health and safety consultancy business based in Harrogate. Due to continued growth, they are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Advisor to join their business to be based in the North Yorkshire or East Yorkshire area. Our client specialises in health and safety management, bridging the gap between health, safety and engineering within the manufacturing and construction sectors.

Health and Safety Advisor – Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing advice and guidance to clients on their legal and regulatory duties.
  • Carrying out site inspections and site audits within the manufacturing and construction industry.
  • Developing action plans and recommendations.
  • Liaising with our client’s customers management and employees.
  • Authoring and developing Health and Safety documentation (procedures and policies).
  • Supporting Management System implementations.
  • Delivery of ad-hoc training.
  • Carrying out hazard identification and risk assessments on sites throughout the UK.
  • Producing reports and action plans.

Health and Safety Advisor – Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • A health and safety professional, experienced supporting the manufacturing and/or construction industry.
  • Highly motivated with a positive approach to tasks.
  • Computer literate (MS office).
  • Ability to manage own workload efficiently and effectively.
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Desirables: internal audit experience and good working knowledge of PUWER & CDM.

The Health and Safety Advisor position is offering Circa. £30,000 – £35,000 basic salary plus Great Benefits for the successful candidate. Working Monday- Friday 8.30am until 5pm with flexibility.
